Soar Eagle....

Four years at LCHS have come and gone. BJ graduated last night in the gym with his friends. Thanks to Busia and DzizDzia, Nana and Grandma for attending with Brian, Danielle, Anita and I. I cant believe how fast his high school years went by....seems like just yesterday they were freshmen.

Here is a great shot of his elder role models....Many thanks to Busia and DziaDzia for being here for everything he needed and for Nana's good thoughts from Mississippi.

And how YOUNG BJ's step-mother is. That Brian must really have robbed the cradle. I'm not old enough to have a high school senior/college Freshman.

Congratulations to the Class of 2008...Soar Eagles...but to MY Eagle...Please always remember the nest!!! We are very proud of you BJ.

Someone asked for Prom photos....

This is BJ, Keisha and Danielle. He and Keshia have been friends since the 6th grade and Danielle absolutely loves her too. I cant believe how fast they grow up.

These are all the guys.....

And here is BJ and his date, Shanna.

And the long view....They went as friends.

Catching up on some photos...

Time sure flies when you get older doesnt it? I cant believe it's already May. Danielle has one more month of school and Bj has a little over one week of school.

It was finally a nice weekend here. Saturday was breezy and warm. We were able to get outside and do some yardwork. (ok...Brian and BJ really did most of the yardwork). Danielle and I got to go and pick some flowers out for the yard. I usually let her pick out the color (singular) of the flowers we plant each year. She threw me for a loop this year by picking out many COLORS of flowers. We have two pots planted and some pansies in the front flower bed. We have the side and backyards to go and some planters for the patio. Hopefully, the weather cooperates and we can finish the yard next weekend.

Sunday was a little cooler. We decided to have a play date indoors with one of Danielle's favorite friends, Sarah. It's nice for her to have someone else to play with.

Danielle has also been helping me out a lot in the kitchen. She enjoys adding the spices and seasonings to the food. Today she made spaghetti for her and Sarah to have for dinner. (I think she has been watching too much foodtv!!)

And what great chef doesn't taste their masterpiece before they eat?

Mother's Day brunch was delicious....especially when the food was available on the buffet. I'm still not sure if Busia ever got her pancakes.

Danielle is here helping Busia try to read her Mother's Day card, but by the look on her face, I dont think she could make out some of the big words.

And here she is with two of her favorite people

In our house, the girls outnumber the boys 4 to 2. We could not resist this photo op of all the Fuller girls relaxing on the couch one afternoon. Timber is just trying to remind me that she can be a lap dog like Graycie too. Hopefully you can see Timber in the picture between me and Danielle.

And the winner is.......

So the deadline for Bj to make his decision on his future was May 1st. (Sounds kind of serious when I phrase it like that doesnt it?

After some serious consideration and some harsh realities about finances, BJ has made the decision to attend Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisonsin. He will be a member of both the track and cross country teams, and for now will be entering the freshman class with an undecided major.

All that is left to do is for us to pay some fees, applications for student loans and then the fun off to college shopping.

I am not looking forward to the transition for Danielle. Luckily, its not far away, but she will still have to adjust to not seeing Bj everyday. I guess it will take some getting used to for me too.....I will miss my kid. (he does a great job on the dishes.)

Graduation day is set for May 29th....pray for nice, warm weather or else we get limited to 4 tickets for the ceremony. (that will be tough with two moms, a dad, a sister, a brother, two very devoted grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.....OY!)

We have more updates for you to come soon, Prom, track, etc...but thats all for now.
