Graduation Party

We celebrated BJ's graduation last weekend with a roaring party...Thanks to Nana for all the cooking. The food and the company was great.

We got to see our cousins from Auntie Angie's house. Danielle and Lyric love to dance and cheer.

And you know that Danielle never shys away from the camera.

Some of BJ's friends came over for a friendly game of touch football. (Yup, that's Keshia in her pretty pink dress playing football.)

And Becca got to play with her friend Graycie. They took a moment to pose for this sweet as pie photo.

And Uncle Chris made quite and impression on Lyric and Cameron. Lyric cannot wait to play with Uncle Chris again. And I'm sure that Becca wants to play keep away with the purple ball from "little boy".

Great fun.

Backyard fun

So, a couple of weekends ago, the entire Fuller Family decided to do some yardwork. Bj and I were in the back yard moving dirt and I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. It was green with a yellowish stripe. I figured it was the garden hose. Whatever it was, it was going to be in my way so I went to grab it and move it. Funny thing is, IT MOVED FIRST. I think i jumped higher than I ever have and am sure I said something that Danielle would have put me in time out for. "BJ!!!! BJ!!!!" I hollered. Then i thought I better not holler so Danielle didnt come out in the backyard. That little bugger was now on the run, hiding in the lilac bushes. "BJ. I need you to get this snake out of the bushes before Danielle comes out here." If you all could have seen the look on his face. It was kind of like..."Uh Jennifer, I dont know if you are aware, but I dont know a thing about catching a snake". Below you can see that I was not successful in keeping Danielle from being aware of the snake and that Danielle was far from scared of "that little snake" (Really, it was not so little. AND we discovered that there was more than one.)

Here are my brave snake catchers.

AND SUCCESS...the boys were able to lure the snake into a small garbage can with the end of a golf club and a long paint roller extender. (not quite the snake catching tools I would have used but seeing as how I was scared silly, I was not going anywhere near the thing.

Brian set the snake free in the pond. FAR out into the pond.

Little did I know that the other snake, which I was originally told was also caught had fallen into our window well. (and yes, it is covered) That little bugger slithered in the the little crack of space between the hinge and the actual window well. Bj and his friends Kevin and Kevin had to come over and get the snake out of the window well later the next day so I could use the home gym down in the basement. That's another story though.

Anyway...afterwards, Danielle went on to planting her seeds in a flower pot. She planted some sunflower seeds. Hopefully they will sprout for her. She had a mishap at school with the seeds they tried to grow and was really upset, so I thought we would give it a shot at home. So far we have some sprouts from her seeds and she is very proud. Mommy hopes Grandpa Ray is up there with his green thumb sending her a good growing vibe.

She had great fun this year helping me pick the flowers. Needless to say it is a colorful yard.

And when she isnt planting, she is relaxing in her backyard tent. Brian set it up for her and put the computer out there for her one day and it was if she had her own house. She stayed in there ALL afternoon. She even let Graycie in to play with her.

And special thanks to BJ who spent 4 hours and placed 122 screws in putting together the fire pit that my parents bought for us the year we moved into the house as my birthday gift. Fitting that he put it together just in time for my birthday this year. We enjoyed the fire, and of course the smores. Couldnt see any satellites though!!
