Hemlock/Bay City tour July 2008

Brian, DziaDzia, Danielle and Mommy took a trip this weekend to Bay City/Hemlock to see Uncle Terry and others. Uncle Terry was in from NYC. We hadn't seen him in a few years so we took the opportunity to make the trip in. On Saturday night, after a dinner at Grampa Tony's we gave Brian a tour of Bay City. We drove past the fire station and the door was open, so we asked if we could take a picture of Danielle on the front of the truck. I made mention that my DziaDzia used to run the place so Danielle got a big kick out of that!!!!!

Even Mommy took a picture on the truck. I got to tell Danielle about how MY DziaDzia used to drive me to Kindergarten in the Fire Marshall car...and how we were late a lot of the time. AND how Miss Susan used to know I was coming for the afternoon when she heard DziaDzia's siren.

Sunday brought the big party at Auntie Arlene's house. Danielle was looking forward to meeting her cousin Abby who is 4 days older than she is. Here is Danielle waiting for Abby to arrive on the porch glider with DziaDzia.

Once she arrived, the pair was inseparable. They really enjoyed meeting each other and playing together.

Here is Danielle with the guest of honor!!

What a fine looking bunch!!! Abby, Uncle Terry, Danielle and Michael.

No party is complete without the sibling photo. What are you all looking over there for?

Nope...that's not it either...can you 4 crazy kids turn around please and act nice?

ONE more try...

3 out of 4 isn't bad.

What a great weekend!!!

Parent's night out

Mom and Dad enjoyed a night out recently. The owner of Mommy's company rented a box at the Cubs/White Sox game at Cellular Field for the Crosstown Classic. We went with 400 of Mommy's coworkers. (I dont know all 400 of them.) It was a great time and lots of fun to get out and see the game with Mom's friends. GO Sox this time. (I used to be a Cubs fan til I married a SouthSider.)

Fuller Beach

The girls enjoyed a Saturday afternoon of swimming....

The water was a little bit chilly but the girls were troopers about it.

Both of them seemed to have a great time floating with the toys Auntie Katie brought.

Hopefully there will be plenty more swims in the pool this summer...Cant believe the summer is half over already.

Danielle's Dance Camp Video

Danielle signed up for Dance Camp at the High School...here is the hip hop routine she learned last Saturday. Hopefully you can see her in the front row, pretty much in the middle. She's the pretty girl with the pony tail.

Let's Play Hookey!!!

Mommy and Daddy decided to play hookey for a day and this past Monday we took the kids downtown to the Taste of Chicago!! (Well, Daddy played hookey, Mommy told her boss where I was going) It was perfect weather.

One of the first things Danielle had was ice cream...

She also got her face painted with a black and white dog....

Mommy and Danielle took a ride on a pink and white ferris wheel

We had a great view of Buckingham Fountain from up there...

Danielle also got to bounce on a BungieTrampoline...

I was really praying that the man strapped her in tightly. My baby had to stand in line (a long one) all by herself. No Mommies allowed. She had a blast. She bounced and bounced. Her splits that she did were AMAZING.

Watching Danielle do all that jumping really tired BJ out though...

On the way back to catch our train home, we stopped at the Millennium Park fountain so Danielle could splash about in the water.

It sure was a fun day for the family.
