Happy Easter

Easter brought the Bunny, Brunch and an Egg Hunt at Busia's house.

The Easter Bunny did a great job hiding the eggs outside for the girls to find.

I think that the baskets were a little too small for all the eggs...

But our little hunters sure did rake in the loot..

And I think the Easter festivities even tuckered some of them out...

A few days later, Danielle was in for a surprise. She has been asking me for about 6 months now to get her hair cut shorter (and to have bangs). I decided at first that this was just another Danielle phase, and let it go at that. But she persisted. I weighed the pros and cons. Finally, I decided that if she still wanted it, it would definitely make my life a lot easier if she had less hair. I picked her up early from day care afterschool one Wednesday, and off we went to see Miss Holly. (This new hair is also a lot easier on Miss Holly).

We took a healthy 7 inches off the ends of her hair, leaving her a nice shoulder length style. So far, Danielle loves it. And so do I. She has hair like mine, so if she wants it long again, it will grow quickly. We should be in good shape though. (Here she is helping out in the kitchen. She has taken a liking to cooking...she still wont eat much, but likes to help make "stuff").

Take Care!!

Spring Break

We are a little behind on our posting. I honestly don't know where all of my free time goes anymore.

Danielle had spring break a few weeks ago. We decided to go to the Waterpark again.

Danielle took her friend, Angelina, with her. That was nice for her to have someone there her own age. Mommy and Daddy did not have to slide that way.

Bj continues to do well with Track and Field. Two Saturdays ago, he ran the Steeplechase for the first time. We drove to the University of Chicago to watch him. (Thanks Busia and DziaDzia for going and braving the "Wind off the Lake"). At first I thought this race would be "cool". Then we saw it live. I have to admit, and I mean no disrespect to the avid Steeplechasers in this world, but it's kind of a silly race. Running close to 2 miles, jumping over stuff....and having one water hazard to deal with just didn't look like fun. It was cold and windy and my son looked COLD and winded afterwards. His Coach, who has done wonders with him, thinks that competing in this race from time to time will improve his 1500m time as well as prepare him for cross country next season. BJ's times have really been improving, so I will let the man work his magic.

Hope all is well where you are.
