SOOOOOOO close.....
As many of you may have seen in the articles that Uncle Chris and Busia sent links out on, BJ's CC team came ONE point shy of winning their division this year. Last year they pretty much "saw the field" at the bottom. So this is a tremendous improvement. Since I last updated, BJ has had two races and did well in both. The boy can run. He had a top 2o finish at the Antioch Invitational on Saturday (18th place) and in the battle for the divisional title yessterday, he tied for 3rd or 4th depending on how you want to look at it. AND he is having fun.
He had homecoming last weekend. I was hoping to post some photos of him and his date, but they had an incident that we will just call a "change in schedule" that prohibited them from seeing each other before actually arriving at the school. AHHHH dating is such a learning experience.
Miss Danielle continues to astound her family with what she learns at school. We are learning all about above and below the line behavior (the difference between what is acceptable and not acceptable). I dont really know yet all that falls where, but in a pinch when my little angel may be posing me a challenge, I just have to ask if she is acting above or below this imaginary line and it seems to work out.
She continues to get better and better at sounding out letters to words. She now knows a few words by sight. It takes a LOT longer to read books now...forewarning to those that have kids younger than her and those of you who have older ones could have mentioned this.
Danielle has her first day off from school this coming Friday and Monday. She will stay at daycare on Friday and I am actually being forced by my boss to take a day off on Monday. We will be attending BJ's Lake County invitational meet on Monday.
Brian, the two dogs (Timber and Graycie) and I are all the same, the dogs sleep all day and Brian and I work all day. Brian's trip to New Orleans was good. He ate crabmeat cheesecake (ew) and said it was delicious.
Hope all is well where you are!!!

Those of us w/ younger kids would also like to hear more about the dating/learning experiences. (Seeing as none of us parents did that stuff when we were kids...)
