Run BJ Run...the College Edition
Busia, Danielle and I made our first trip to watch BJ run for Carthage on Friday afternoon.

They were off and running at 2:30pm, on the dot. Instead of a starter's gun they used a cannon. We were all impressed by that.
Here is a shot of BJ at the first place we could see him from the infield. They tell me it was at about a mile and a half or so. He ran past us at about 8 minutes here, so I think that's just about right.

And here he comes charging for the finish line. Not sure if you can really see him coming or not in the photo, but trust me, he is coming up the way soon.

Here he is about to cross the finish line. He still looked strong at this point and had some kick into the gate, so that was really exciting to see. He finished the 8k in well under 30 minutes (29:30) and came in 81st place.

But here is my favorite of the day...after the race with his biggest fan.

As a side note, those of you keeping up with Danielle's Twolves...this week she cheered for Bantam White (not a team she usually cheers for...she usually gets Bantam Black). They ended after 4 quarters of a defensive battle in a scoreless tie. The other team declined the chance to play in sudden death overtime.

Great day for a run. Great course though a bit hilly I am told.
Very proud of the runner and his biggest fan. The photographer did good job too.
